My name is Tim Sonenfield, welcome to my website. I’ve made this website so people can see what I do, and what I am interested in doing in the future.

I studied Business IT at Birmingham City University and got a 1st class degree with honours.  This course was very good as it covered technology, which I am very interested in, and have been since an early age and also covered a wide range of business topics, from system analysis to business modelling

When I finished my second year at University, I went on a Year in Industry at a company called E-tabs, I worked as a Junior Developer. It was my responsibility to give support and help develop their CRM, as well as developing in Powershell, Mysql, VB and PHP.  This job helped to enhance my programming skills as well as other important life skills.

As a part time voluntary job I am website administrator for HMH JYC. Where I developed their website from scratch, then used Joomla (CMS) to manage the content, and more recently moved to WordPress. WordPress is more user friendly and has great features.

Website development and website administration is a great interest of mine. I’d be happy to dabble into Website Consultancy or website design again at some point, but at present IT Support is where I am as I enjoy helping people and the ranging activities that come with 1st and 2nd line support.

I have recently moved into my new role as Service Desk Team Lead. This role is allowing me to gain more managerial experience and has helped to develop skills to assist my career goals and aspirations.
